West Cork Creates 2020 - Harvest
Normally held in August in the O'Driscoll Building in Skibbereen, West Cork Creates is a virtual gallery this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. Living near Roaringwater Bay in West Cork, Ireland, it seemed only natural to choose the sea for my Harvest theme. My 4 photographs show the beautiful Mackerel laid out on a chance scrap of newspaper, the adapted trawler harvesting the mussels that are farmed in the bay, the way fisherman's nets remember the sea, and a feast of fresh food on a fork.
